In addition to the outstanding care providers and volunteers, the Clare Housing team is comprised of an administrative staff that brings wide-ranging skills and experience to Clare Housing.

Meet the Administrative Staff

Michele Boyer
Director of Programs

Michele started her work with the organization in 1998 as Program Director of Grace House of Minneapolis. Michele currently is responsible for the oversight of all Clare Housing programs including the adult foster care homes, the home care at Clare Apartments, and the scattered site program.

Prior to working in foster care, Michele was employed by the Minnesota AIDS Project from 1992 to 1998 where she worked in the Transitional Housing Program and later as an HIV Case Manager.

Michele has a Masters Degree in Spirituality (Geo-Justice) from the Institute of Culture and Creation Spirituality in Oakland, CA. She has a Bachelors of Arts from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN.


Chris Briggs
Community Outreach Coordinator

Chris joined Clare Housing in 2015 as a Community Outreach Coordinator. He works in partnership with colleagues to achieve Clare Housing’s long term sustainable funding goals and he coordinates the point of entry for those engaging with the organization. Previously, Chris was an On Call Resident Assistant at Clare Apartments and Clare Midtown.

Chris brings a unique blend of corporate and nonprofit experience, having led a sales and marketing department for 8 years after coordinating a youth faith formation program for 8 years.

In 2014 Chris completed a Mini MBA for Nonprofit Organization certification at the University of St. Thomas, where he also earned a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies. He has Bachelor of Arts from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.


Allan Coleman
Director of Operations

Allan joined Clare Housing in April 2008 with 18 years of non-profit accounting experience. His responsibilities at Clare Housing include budget preparation and oversight; government and foundation grant compliance, financial analysis, information management and forecasting and audit coordination.

Allan has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Wartburg College in Iowa and a Masters of Business Administration from Metropolitan State University in Minnesota.


Chuck Peterson
Executive Director

Chuck Peterson joined Clare Housing as Executive Director in June 2013. He has over twenty years of nonprofit management experience with areas of expertise in philanthropy, public policy, administrative and financial management and board governance. Prior to joining Clare Housing, Chuck served as the Vice President of Member Relations at the Minnesota Council on Foundations for 10 years where he was responsible for membership development, educational programming, financial management and providing counsel and support to grantmaking organizations. An active volunteer in the community, Chuck has volunteered for many nonprofit organizations including Rural AIDS Action Network and Open Arms of Minnesota. He currently serves on the board of directors of Cantus Vocal Ensemble and the National AIDS Housing Coalition. Chuck received his Bachelor of Arts from Luther College, located in Decorah, IA.


Jim Seas
Director of Community Engagement

Jim joins Clare Housing as the Director of Community Engagement.  With over 20 years’ experience in the Twin Cities doing fundraising, marketing, communication and consulting work, Jim brings a unique blend of professional background to Clare Housing.

Previously Jim has worked with Reuben Lindh Family Services, HealthEast Foundation and One Heartland.  Within those positions, his key activities included corporate sponsorship, board development, special events, major donors and capital campaign planning and implementation.

A strong advocate for adoption, Jim has been a board member and volunteer for the Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, The Harambee Project, and a family adoption trainer with Hennepin County.  A South Dakota native, Jim receiving his Bachelor of Science degrees and his Masters of Science from South Dakota State University, located in Brookings, SD.


Jamie Vega
Operations Coordinator

Jamie began working with the organization in 2011 as a Resident Assistant at Clare Midtown and served as Lead Resident Assistant at that location from 2015-2017. Her Current responsibilities include facilities management for the community care homes, financial management support, onboarding new employees, licensing and compliance support, and serving as the primary contact for IT management and troubleshooting.

Jamie has a Bachelor of Science from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA.


Megan Williams, BA, BSN, RN, MPH
Director of Nursing

Megan Williams is the Director of Nursing for Clare Housing’s Homecare Program. Megan is currently responsible for managing the homecare program to ensure quality for clients and to be in compliance with the MDH comprehensive homecare license. Prior to joining Clare Housing, Megan was based in Boston and New York and worked as a Program Manager for 10 years for international HIV/AIDS, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) based programs in Uganda, Zimbabwe, and Guyana. Megan worked for Boston University Center for Global Health, in Boston and Cicatelli Associates in New York. She also worked at HCMC as a RN in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). Megan is an adjunct professor at MetroState University School of Nursing instructing courses in global health and nursing. Megan holds a Master in Public Health (MPH) from Boston University and a Bachelor’s Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University.


Debbie Wyman
Community Outreach Coordinator

Debbie joined Clare Housing in December 2009 and serves as one of our Community Outreach Coordinators. She assists with all elements of fundraising as well as manages the many volunteer programs for Clare Housing’s four community care homes and the apartments. Prior to her current position, she served for ten years as the Parish Administrator of Trinity Episcopal Church in Excelsior, and for 10+ years as the Faith Formation Administrator of St. Therese Catholic Church in Deephaven. In addition to her work with Clare Housing, Debbie also has a certificate in Spiritual Direction, and serves twice a year as a Conference Administrator for CREDO, an 8-day intensive clergy wellness program.
