Table Talk: Forward This Message to a Friend

I hope you will join me for this special event.

I hope this message finds you well! I’m writing you today because of a special organization that’s really touched my heart, Clare Housing. The people who work at Clare Housing provide an affordable, supportive home for people living with HIV/AIDS here in the Twin Cities. Many of their residents have experienced homelessness.

I’ve heard a lot of inspiring stories about lives changed for the better at Clare Housing. Here’s one I’d like to share with you. After reading it, I hope you’ll consider joining me at their Annual Fundraising Breakfast on Tuesday, September 20th in Minneapolis. You can learn more and register here.

In December 2015, Reggie signed the lease to his new Clare Housing apartment.

He was so nervous, a staff member shared later, that he almost broke the chair as he sat down. Once you know his story, it’s easy to understand why Reggie was a bit emotional.

Reggie is a single dad. He works full time as a custodian to support his kids, while doing his best to maintain his health as someone living with HIV. Despite working full time, he has been homeless for the last 4 years. He’s been on our waiting list for a Clare Housing apartment for 2 of those years.

The toughest thing about homelessness for Reggie was living without his kids. Thanks to Reggie’s hard work and supporters like you, he finally got the chance to provide a home for his two children, ages 2 and a half and 17.

The news they’d be living together was their Christmas surprise. We can’t imagine a better gift.

It’s stories like this one that motivate me. They make me proud to support this organization.

I would be so pleased if you’d join me. The breakfast will be held on Tuesday, September 20 from 8 to 9 am. At the breakfast you’ll hear first-hand from men and women like Reggie who have been able to get their health and lives back on track thanks to stable housing, and access to healthcare at Clare Housing.

Please email me or give me a call if you’d like register or learn more!
