Get Involved

WHY GET INVOLVED?

Today, 7,000 people in Minnesota area living with HIV/AIDS.  Fifty percent of them will be homeless or have a housing crisis during the course of their illness. We estimate each night that there are 300 HIV positive people in the Twin Cities living on the streets and in shelters.  In our own community the need for safe, affordable HIV-specific housing is real and growing.

Clare Housing’s efforts are simple – to provide a continuum of permanent affordable housing and supportive services designed to empower people of low-income and to maximize their health, independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Our goal is that in the next 10 years, all people living with HIV/AIDS will have affordable, safe and stable housing with access to the supportive services they need to lead satisfying lives with dignity.
