Support from MDH and HOPWA Gives Boost to Clare Midtwon, Terrace and Scattered Site Housing —

Clare Housing is pleased to share that we have been awarded grant funding from both the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Minnesota Department of Human Services. This money will be disbursed over the next three years.
The HUD funding is made possible through the Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS Program (HOPWA). The $951,376 grant will provide sustaining support for Clare Midtown over the next three years to provide permanent supportive housing for low-income persons living with HIV/AIDS.

The two-year, $271,433 grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services is also targeted to specific programs. These funds will support our growth by helping pay for critically needed supportive services at Clare Terrace and helping to grow our Scattered Site Housing program from 18 to 33 locations across the Twin Cities by year end.

We are thankful for the partnership we have with HUD and the Minnesota Department of Human Services. This support, along with the generosity of our individual, corporate and foundation donors ensures the sustainability of our work and our goal of preventing and ending homelessness for people living with HIV in Minnesota.
