Clare Housing to be Awarded 2017 Community Champion of Pride Award —

We recently learned that Clare Housing will be honored on June 8 with the 2017 Community Champion of Pride Award. Each year Twin Cities Pride gives this award to a nonprofit or community organization that furthers Pride’s mission to foster inclusion, educate and create awareness of issues, and celebrate achievements in equality for the LGBT community.

Clare Housing, as well as our fellow award recipients, will be recognized at the annual Grand Marshal Reception and Pride Art Exhibition, and hold a place of honor in the Ashley Rukes GLBT Pride Parade. Please join us to celebrate. Tickets are FREE and you can RSVP on Facebook here.

If you can’t make it to the awards ceremony, you can still catch us at the Pride Festival Grounds at the Red Ribbon Ride booth on Saturday, June 24, and at the Pride Parade itself on Sunday, where you’ll see a whole “flotilla” of Clare Housing staff and board members dressed up in colorful costumes.

News of this award comes on the heels of Clare Housing being named “Nonprofit of the Year” by Quorum, the LGBT + Allied Business Community. Thanks to everyone who played a role in recognizing the Clare Housing community’s 30 years of creating home, health, and hope for people living with HIV.
