A glitzy fun affair: Join us for “Songs from the Heart” —

As Executive Director of Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus, I often have the opportunity to collaborate and work with other nonprofit organizations here in the Twin Cities. I am so excited that Clare Housing will be our beneficiary for the 15th anniversary of our annual gala fundraiser, “Songs from the Heart.”

This year’s “Songs from the Heart” is on Saturday, May 9th at the Metropolitan Ballroom. Local media personalities Jason Matheson (Fox 9) and Mike Augustyniak (WCCO) will be our masters of ceremonies. Karen Sorbo has hosted our live auction for many years and we are thrilled that she is back once again this year!

“Songs from the Heart” has always proven to be a glitzy, fun affair: full of energy and excitement, good food and company, live performances by members of the Chorus, one of the more spirited live and silent auctions you will ever be a part of and a great way to raise money for the Chorus and a selected beneficiary.

Selecting a beneficiary has always made our benefit so different from other fundraisers in town. Attending our event is a chance to support not one but two nonprofit organizations that do great work in our community. Clare Housing, as our beneficiary, will get a chance to share its story with our “Songs from the Heart” audience and receive a portion of the proceeds from the evening.

The Chorus and Clare Housing have collaborated in the past, but this is the first time that we will be working together for “Songs from the Heart.” And we want you to join us!
