Meet Kristine Morshead

Kristine Morshead (she/her) joined the Board of Clare Housing in 2023. She hopes to utilize her strong background in human resources to help support Clare’s mission.

Can you talk about what interested you in serving on Clare Housing’s board of directors?
I relocated to Minnesota in the summer of 2018. Now that I’m more settled in my new home, I’ve been looking to get involved with a local organization that does meaningful and tangible work within and for those in my own community. Clare Housing is just that kind of organization, with its long and solid history of providing caring, direct support to people living with HIV.

What about your professional background helps inform your work on the board?
I have more than 15 years of experience in the human resource field, in both the private and public sectors. I practice HR with a heart and focus on employees as whole persons. I believe organizations thrive when they listen to, support, and develop their employees.

What does “success” mean to you in terms of your work on the board?

To me, success looks like breaking down barriers in the employment realm that might inhibit Clare Housing from best serving our community members with HIV.

What do you hope to accomplish in your term with the board?

I hope my work on the board will help Clare Housing continue to be an employer of choice and develop additional strategies to attract, retain, and develop diverse, high-caliber employees.
